This is a strainer that has been exposed by low water on March 11, 2006. This area is normally underwater at this time of the year with only the very tips of the taller brush extending above the water line.
In the photo you can see the strainer is very large extending about 50' into the river. A mattress has been caught by the strainer when the river covered this area (middle left). |
