Maps of The C&O Canal

There are lots of good maps of The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal available from many different sources throughout the area. Some are offered by The United States Park Service and available free by clicking the "The Park Service Maps" link above.
Although most printed maps are well designed and updated regularly, they can not keep up with the constant changes that accrue along the towpath.
My C&O Maps started out as a personal hobby of mine. I've been taking notes and photos of the towpath since a teen and have now began using them along with other information I've been able to gather to build maps of my own. Each map covers about 3 miles and many features on the maps have been linked to the Towpath Features area for cross reference. I have been adding new information as it becomes available and now with the help of the Internet, I've been able to add current weather, and in some areas weekly towpath reports.
